The Corn Palace and Wall Drug

From Des Moines we traveled to Rapid City in one day going over 625 miles.  It was a long day but we had some very interesting stops.  The Corn Palace was most interesting.  Most of it is covered in corn husks being redone every fall. So, it changes each year. It has been going on for many years and there are pictures of how it looked over the years.
From there we went to the city of Wall to see the famous Wall Drug.  In order to entice people to the area in the early 1900s, the owners offered free ice water to the thirsty travelers.  From there it expanded to a street of  shops and restaurants.
